Those two times are now the fastest in UW history and third and fourth in MWC history respectively. Urich also had a second place finish in the 400 medley relay and two fifth place finishes in the 400 and 800 free relays that he anchored. Urich was named to the MWC All Conference team and won his third letter award. Sophomore Urich had a great sophomore season and earned First Team All-MWC honors in three separate events, the 100 and 200 butterfly and the 400 medley relay. He placed second in both the 100 and 200 butterfly at the 2007 MWC Championships, finishing behind fellow Cowboy Ron Fogel in the 200. He swam on the 200 and 400 medley and 400 and 800 freestyle relays. His best relay finish was a third place showing in the 400 medley. He also swam the 500 freestyle at conference, placing 15th. He earned his second letter award at UW. Freshman: Urich was a major contributor to the Cowboys as a freshman. He earned Second Team All-MWC honors in the 200 butterfly by placing fourth at the 2006 MWC Championships. He also placed sixth in the 100 butterfly and ninth in the 500 freestyle. He swam on both the 400 and 800 freestyle relay teams at conference as well. He earned his first Wyoming letter award. High School: He was an All-Conference selection following both his junior and senior years in the 100 butterfly. He was a four-time letterwinner in swimming and was named team captain his senior season. Personal: Born Feb. 4, 1987 in Westminster, Colo.
