Biography

Junior (2016-17): Helped UW defeat UNLV in January 2017 by placing fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.88, as well as taking fourth in the 200 backstroke with a 2:08.10... Swam a personal best in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:01.29 at the 2017 Mountain West Conference Championships… Swam a personal best at the 2017 Mountain West Conference Championships in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:51.47… Swam a third personal best at the 2017 Mountain West Conference Championships in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.05.
 
Sophomore (2015-16): Dassoff once again participated in a number of meets for Wyoming during her sophomore season. She recorded times of 1:01.22 in the 100 back, 2:14.24 in the 200 back and a 2:17.91 in the 200 IM against Border War rival Colorado State. In the double-dual with Air Force and NAU, Dassof swam a 2:14.88 and 2:15.98 in the 200 back and 200 IM, respectively. 
 
Freshman (2014-15): Dassoff saw limited action this season for the Cowgirls. Against Air Force, she finished 10th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.89 and second in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:10.42. She also finished ninth in the 100 backstroke against Air Force. She came away with a ninth-place finish against New Mexico in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:00.94. In the dual with Denver in January, Dassoff was a part of the fifth place 400 free relay team that had a mark of 3:44.03.

High School:
Dassoff is a graduate of Oak Park High School swimming for head coach Clyde Lundgren and swam with the Oak Park Swimmers with coach George Adcock. Alanna recorded US Junior National qualifying times in the 200 backstroke.She placed 12th in the state championship in the 100 backstroke, an event that she owns the school record. She was named West Suburban All-Conference for three straight years. She excelled in the classroom as a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Personal:
Alanna is the daughter of Dennis and Nancy Dassoff. She was born on November 9, 1995. She is majoring in zoology at UW.
