Biography

At Wyoming:
Junior- Spadinger had an outstanding junior year for the Cowgirls. Her season was highlighted when she was named Honorable Mention Academic All-American following the season. She had a great meet at the 2006 MWC Championships, earning Second Team All-MWC honors in both breaststroke events. She placed fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200, turning in a provisional NCAA qualifying time in the 200. She also swam to an 11th place finish in the 200 IM. She swam personal best times in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM. Entering her senior year, she ranks second all-time in UW history in both breaststroke events and also ranks fourth in the 200 IM. She is also a member of the UW record setting 200 medley relay team. She was named a MWC Scholar Athlete and Academic All-MWC for the third consecutive season.
Sophomore- Spadinger earned a pair of Second Team All-MWC honors in the 200 medley relay and the 100 breaststroke, finishing third in the relay and fifth in the 100 breaststroke at the MWC Championships. She also placed sixth in the 200 breaststroke. At the championships, her 100 breaststroke time was the second fastest in UW history and her 200 breaststroke time was the fourth fastest in history. She excelled academically and was named a MWC Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Conference selection for the second consecutive year. She earned her second letter award.
Freshman- At the 2004 MWC Championships, she was a member of the 200 medley relay team that set a new school record with a fifth place finish. She also was a member of the 400 medley relay team. Individually, she placed 10th in the 100 breaststroke, 12th in the 200 breaststroke and 17th in the 200 IM.

High School: An All-American in 100 breaststroke. High school record holder in 100 breaststroke. A two year member of the national honor society.

Personal: Born June 17, 1985 in Midland, Texas. She is the daughter of Sharon and Martin Spadinger. She is majoring in history and secondary education-social science.
