Biography

At Wyoming:
Junior- Comrie added great depth for the Cowboys in many freestyle events, especially sprints. Early in the season, Comrie placed fifth in the 50 freestyle in Gillette, Wyo., and eighth in the 100 freestyle. In Mountain West Conference dual meets, he placed fourth in the 50 freestyle against TCU and fifth against Utah, also in the 50 freestyle. Both of those meets were conference victories for the Cowboys. Comrie earned Academic All-Conference for the third consecutive year.
Sophomore- Comrie broke out his sophomore season and was one of the best freestyle swimmers on the Cowboy roster. He helped by leading off in the 200 freestyle relay that was fourth place at the 2008 MWC Championships. Comrie also competed in the freestyle events at the conference championships. He earned his second letter award and was an Academic All MWC selection for the second year in a row.
Freshman- Comrie had a nice start to his career as a Cowboy. At the 2007 MWC Championships, he placed 14th in the 50 freestyle and led off the 200 freestyle relay. He swam the fastest 50 freestyle time of the season for the Pokes. He was an Academic All-MWC selection and earned his first letter award.

High School: Comrie was a district champion in the 50 freestyle as a junior and senior and in the 100 freestyle as a senior. He finished third in the state of Oregon in the 100 and fourth in the 50 freestyle as a junior and fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 50 freestyle as a senior. He was a team captain his senior year and the Pendleton High MVP as a junior and senior. He holds the PHS record in both sprint freestyle events. He was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and lettered once in tennis. He was a Umatilla County scholar athlete finalist and a National Honor Society member. He also was in the school marching band and was a drum major.

Personal: He was born on May 13, 1988 in Pendleton, Ore. He is the son of Sue and Paul and has a brother Jeff and a sister Courtney. He is majoring in electrical engineering.
