Summary

Biography

UW This Season: Bachman has become a key swimmer for the Cowboys. He will look to build on his freshman campaign. He will add young depth to the Cowboy roster and his experience at last year's Mountain West Conference Championships will help the Pokes compete at conference.

At Wyoming: Freshman: (2009-10)- Bachman competed well for the Cowboys as a freshman, placing in the top ten in two events at the MWC Championships. He placed fifth in the 200 breast and seventh in the 200 IM setting new personal bests in both events.

High School: In his senior year, Bachman was a two-time State Champion in the 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke. He earned All-State honors two years and All-Conference honors all four years. He set a total of 10 school records from 2007-2009, both individual and relays. Along with the school records, he re-wrote 31 pool records in high school, as well. Bachman also set the Class AA state record in the 100 breaststroke his senior year. After his accomplishments, he was named an All-American in the 200 IM, 100 breaststroke, 100 butterfly in 2009, and 200 IM in 2008. Along with high school success, he also swam for the Rochester Swim Club where he won a total of 18 State Championships, and holds 30 team records. Academically, Bachman's highest honor was being awarded the Presidential Education Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Personal: He was born November 29, 1990 in Rochester, Minn. He is the son of Lori and Paul Bachman and has an older brother Kellen. He is majoring in molecular biology at Wyoming.
