Hometown Biography Summary Biography Junior (2015-16): Sether completed his junior season by earning All-WAC honors in the 200 and 400 IM for Wyoming. At the WAC Championships, he took fifth in the 400 IM (3:52.36) and seventh place in the 200 IM (1:48.15). Additionally, Sether finished ninth in the 200 fly with a mark of 1:48.41. In the dual with LSU, Sether came away with three top-five finishes for the Pokes. He took third in the 100 IM (58.76), fourth in the 200 IM (2:10.61) and fifth in the 200 fly (2:09.66). He then placed fifth in the 200 IM in the upset over No. 14 Utah before taking fourth in the 200 fly (1:55.50) against Pac-12 member Arizona State. Sophomore (2014-15): Sether competed in numerous duals for the Cowboys as a sophomore. In the Colorado Mesa Invite, Sether finished third in the 200 yard butterfly and in the dual against Denver he finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.16 and eighth in the 400 IM. Against Air Force, Sether placed eighth in the 1,000 freestyle and seventh in the 100 butterfly. At the WAC Championships, Sether finished 10th in the 200 butterfly finals with a time of 1:48.87. Freshman (2013-14): Sether competed in four events in his first season with the Pokes. High School: Sether joins the Cowboys from Century High School in Bismarck, N.D. Sether was named North Dakota Swimming and Diving Powerade Senior Athlete of the Year in 2012-13. He won three-consecutive 200 freestyle state championships. He is the North Dakota state record holder in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Also won a state championship during his junior and senior seasons in the 100 butterfly. He was part of the 200 freestyle medley relay team that owns a state record after winning the state championship his senior season. He was team MVP all-four years at Century High School. Personal: Sether was born on Feb. 28, 1995. He is the son of Bradley and Tara and has two brothers Levi and Loren and one sister Tess. He plans on majoring in chemical engineering at UW.
