Biography

At Wyoming:
Junior- Budd continued to be an intricate part for the Cowgirls her junior season. At the 2009 MWC Championships, Budd finished ninth in the 200 butterfly, and 12th in the 400 IM. Her 400 IM time at conference just missed making the top-five best times in school history. During the season, Budd also helped the team in relays. Not only did she earn her third letter award, Budd was named Academic All-Conference, and earned the MWC Scholar Athlete Award.
Sophomore- Budd competed in the breaststroke, butterfly, and the IM events for the Cowgirls and swam those events at the 2008 MWC Championships. For the second year in a row Budd earned a letter award and MWC Academic All-Conference, as well as the Scholar Athlete Award.
Freshman- Budd was a major contributor to the Cowgirl butterfly and IM as a freshman. At the 2007 MWC Championships, she reached the finals in the 200 butterfly where she placed eighth. She also swam both IM's at the conference championships. She swam the fastest 200 butterfly and the second fastest 400 IM during the season for the Cowgirls. Academically, she had a great season and earned Academic All-Conference and MWC Scholar Athlete accolades. She earned her first letter award.

High School: Budd was an All-American swimmer her senior year. She was also a regional finalist all four years of her high school career. She was a district MVP as a freshman, a Texas State Qualifier as a freshman, junior and senior, a team captain as a junior and senior and a team MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior. She graduated from Clear Lake High School cum laude.

Personal: She was born on February 1, 1988 in Baytown, Texas. She is the daughter of Kevin and Barbara and has an older sister, Erin. She is majoring in kinesiology and health promotion.
