Biography

At Wyoming:
Junior- Stelow wrote her name in the Cowgirl record books her junior season. At the 2009 MWC Championships, Stelow placed fourth in the 50 freestyle and 11th in the 100 freestyle. Those two times proved to be the fastest in school history in those events. Not only did Stelow stand out in the freestyle events, she also placed 10th in the 100 breaststroke at conference. In relays, Stelow and her teammates swam the fastest times in school history in the 200 and 400 medley relay and 200 and 400 freestyle relays at the MWC Championships. With her top-five finish in the 50 freestyle, Stelow earned First Team All-MWC and her third letter award.
Sophomore- Stelow had a record breaking year in the pool individually and in relay teams. She set the top mark in UW history in the 50 and 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, and 400 medley relay. These times came at the 2008 MWC Championships where she finished fourth in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 medley, and 400 freestyle relay. Individually she finished fourth in the 50 freestyle, ninth in the 100 freestyle, and 13th in the 100 breaststroke. Another record Stelow holds is a Corbet Pool record in the 200 medley with a time of 1:46.53. She was named All Conference for the second year in a row and received her second letter award.
Freshman- Stelow made an immediate impact for the Cowgirls as a freshman. As a member of the 200 medley relay team, she earned First Team All-MWC honors. She anchored that team at the 2007 MWC Championships as they placed third. She also swam on the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Individually, she placed 12th in the 50 freestyle at conference. She also contributed to a pair of school record setting relay teams, the 200 meldey and 200 freestyle, at the conference championships. At the 2006 Texas Invite, she swam a 50 freestyle time of 23.89, the fastest Cowgirl time of the season and the fourth fastest time in Wyoming history. That time was also a U.S. Open qualifying standard. She earned her first UW letter award.

High School: Stelow was a First Team All-Conference selection and set a new conference record when she won the 50 freestyle Bay Conference Championship as a senior. She was a two-time Pulaski High School team captain and a two-time team MVP. She set school records in five individual events and three relays. She was an All-State Honorable Mention selection in 2006. She was a two-time sectional champion in the 50 freestyle. She was a four-time letterwinner in swimming. She was also a National Honor Society member.

Personal: She was born on July 6, 1988 in Newport, R.I. She is the daughter of Dean and Becky and has an older sister, Toni. She is undecided on a college major.
