Biography

UW This Season: Lonsdorf will look to get more pool time and add depth to the freestyle events this season for the Cowboys.

At Wyoming: Freshman: (2009-10)- Lonsdorf saw limited action for the Cowboys but competed in several early meets for the Cowboys. Lonsdorf competed well in the North Dakota-South Dakota Triangular, in the sprint freestyle events placing third in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free. Lonsdorf's time of 22.26 in the 50 free was good enough for third place at the meet. He placed sixth in the 100 free with a time of 49.76.

High School: Lonsdorf was one of the top swimmers in the state of Wisconsin before coming to UW. He was named team captain for two seasons and named Rhinelander High School's Most Valuable and Most Dedicated swimmer for three years. He was a conference champion in the 100 freestyle and was runner-up in the 50 freestyle his junior season. He reversed that his senior year and won the conference championship in the 50 freestyle and runner-up in the 100 freestyle. At state championship meets, Lonsdorf was the 100 freestyle runner-up for three years, and runner-up in the 50 freestyle his junior year. He also swam the breaststroke where he placed fourth in the 100 breaststroke at the state championships. Lonsdorf broke records for his club team the Lakeland Swim Club, as well. In the classroom, he was a National Honor Society member.

Personal: He was born June 13, 1990 in Woodruff, Wisconsin. He is the son of Eileen and Charlie Lonsdorf, and has an older sister Jenny and twin brother David. He is majoring in biology while enrolled at Wyoming.
