Against UC Santa Barbara, Turner came away with a seventh place finish in the 200 butterfly with a final time of 1:55.96, as well as a sixth place finish in the 400 IM. At the Colorado Mesa Invite, he finished fifth in the 200 breaststroke with a mark of 2:08.80. At the WAC Championships, Turner finished the season with a fourth place finish in the 400 IM with a final time of 3:52.45 and in 12th place in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:01.92. Competing in the dual with Denver, Turner finished third in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:09.89. At the WAC Championships, he finished 12th in the 200 breaststroke with a final time of 2:01.68. Turner was named to the ALL-WAC Academic Team. Junior (2013-14): Turner continued to be one of the Wyoming's most consistent swimmers in the medley events earning Second Team All-Western Athletic Conference in two events during his junior season. He finished fourth in the 400 individual medley at the WAC Championships with a time of 3:52.95 earning Second Team honors. He also earned Second Team honors in the 200 individual medley with a career-best time of 1:48.35. His time in the event was the fourth fastest time in Cowboy history. Turner also scored team points for the Pokes finishing 12th at the WAC Championship in the 200 breaststroke at 2:03.32. In the Preliminaries of the event he swam a career-best mark of 2:03.32. Sophomore: (2012-13): Turner continued his success during his sophomore season with the Cowboys. Tuner earned Second Team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation honors during the MPSF Championships. Turner finished sixth in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:48.41, a mark that ranks fourth all-time at UW. He finished fourth in the 400 individual medley (3:40.49), ranking second all-time on the Cowboys' top-10 list. He also finished seventh in the 200 breaststroke (2:01.40) at the MSPF Championships. Jordan opened up his season with a trio of third-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (59.05), 200 breastroke (2:11.45) and 200 individual medley (1:58.24) in the Cowboys' dual with Air Force. Tuner finished the season with 11 top-five finishes. Freshman: (2011-12): Turner had an excellent freshman season earning a spot as one of the Cowboys best individual medley swimmers. He also established himself as one of the best individual medley swimmers in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation placing fifth in the 400 IM (3:56.17) at the conference championships. In the 200 IM, he placed 11th with a time of 1:50.87. Turner's fifth-place finish in the 200 IM at the conference championships earned him Second Team All-MPSF honors. Turner broke on the scene for Wyoming at the Houston Cougar Classic where he earned three top-five finishes. Individually, Turner finished third in the 200 IM (1:54.61) and fifth in the 200 butterfly (1:56.24). Turner also helped the 400 medley relay team to a fourth-place finish (3:31.04). He also earned his first Cowboy letter award. High School: Turner had an excellent summer of competition posting an Olympic Trial cut time in the 200 IM (2:06.02) at Senior Nationals in August 2011. He was named All-County First Team his junior and senior years. Turner still holds his high school records in the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke as well as a member of the 400 freestyle relay record-holding team. He excelled in the classroom, being named Academic All-America his senior year. Personal: Turner was born Oct. 21, 1992 in Houston, Texas. He is the son of Syl and Suzanne Turner. He has three older siblings, Syl Jr., Bethany and Sam. He is majoring in astronomy and astrophysics while at UW.
