2009-10... Mitch competed in just two of the five events of the year, but managed a 41st-place finish in the Mountain West Championships in Orem, Utah. He ran the 8K in 27:24. He also ran the 10K at the NCAA Regionals in Albuquerque, N.M., finishing 107th with a time of 34:12.

High School... Mitch was a four-year letterman in both cross country and track and field while also lettering three times on the ski team. Academically he was on the B honor roll all four years.

Personal... Mitch was born Aug. 16, in Lander, Wyo. His parents are Marilyn and Karl Brauneis. He has two older siblings, Kristen and Keith, both of whom ran track and field at Wyoming.
