2006-07... A letterwinner for the Cowgirls last season, Maricel took third place at the Potts Invite in the 200m with a time of 25.14. She was also a part of the 4x400 team that set a time of 3:48.45, which is good for fifth best all time for the Cowgirls. 2005-06... DaCosta at the outdoor CU Invite placed fifth in the 100m dash, along with placing 12th at the MWC Championships in the 400m. At the indoor Wyoming Open DaCosta finished fifth and second in the 60m and the 200m respectively. 2004-05... Maricel's freshman year was one for personal records, she set her 60m, 100m, and 200m records, all at the MWC Championships. High School... DaCosta, while at Mosley H.S., lettered all four years in track and two years in basketball. Along with being on the honor roll for two years. Personal... Maricel was born April 30th, 1986 in Pensacola, Fla. She is the daughter of Greg DaCosta and Vernell Gable. Maricel is majoring in graphic design here at UW.
