Biography

TRACK AND FIELD:

2015-16: Was a part of a Distance Medley Relay team that posted the No. 10 UW all-time mark, 10:07.42, to finish fifth at the MW indoor championships… indoors, won the 600-meter run at the Wyoming Power Meet with a time of 1:24.93… took second in the 800 meters at the indoor Rocky Mountain Classic… placed 12th in the mile at the MW indoor championships… outdoors, posted a season-best time of 1:55.78 in the 800 meters at the Utah Spring Classic… in the classroom, earned Academic All-MW and MW Scholar Athlete honors with a 3.78 GPA.

2014-15: Ran the 800 meters in five meets during the outdoor season...top performance was 1:55.37 at the Jack Christiansen Invite on April 25...did not compete during the indoor season...named MW Academic All-Conference and a MW Scholar Athlete in the classroom.

CROSS COUNTRY:

2015-16: Redshirted...did not compete during the cross country season. 

Before Wyoming: Ran his prep career at Buffalo High School...as a senior was runner-up at the 3A state track meet in the 800 meters...also won the conference meet in the event...in cross country earned all-state honors...as a junior was runner-up in the 1,600 meters at the state meet and won the event and the 800 meters at conference...as a sophomore was state runner-up in the 800 meters...owned personal bests of 50.0 in the 400 meters, 1:57 in the 800 meters and 4:34 in the 1,600 meters...in the classroom was a member of the Honor Roll all four years...also a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Alan and Rhonda Kiefer...born on Jan. 26, 1995...has two brothers, Isaiah and Alex...majoring in secondary education and history at UW.
