Biography

2015-16: Earned two All-MW accolades and recorded two UW all-time top 10 marks indoors…collected the conference crown in the triple jump with the No. 5 UW all-time mark, 51-8.5…won seven individual events throughout the indoor season… finished third in the long jump at the MW indoor championships, earning all-MW honors with a mark of 23-10.75…placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles at the conference meet, posting the No. 4 UW all-time mark at 8.05 seconds...redshirted the outdoor season.

2014-15: Earned one All-MW accolade during the season...indoors placed third in the long jump at the MW Championships with a personal-best leap of 23-4...also won the triple jump at three other meets during the indoor campaign...outdoors won the triple jump at two more meets...qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary in the event and placed 40th.

2013-14: Set four all-time top 10 marks during the season and earned his first All-MW honor...indoors ran the fifth-fastest 60-meter hurdles in school history at 8.15...also notched the No. 5 triple jump with a leap of 51-3 3/4...competed in the triple jump, long jump and 60-meter hurdles at the MW Championships...won the triple jump at three meets during the indoor season...outdoors, posted the No. 6 all-time mark in the triple jump at 50-6 3/4...also the No. 8 mark in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.45...earned All-MW honors in the triple jump with a third-place finish at the MW Championships...qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary in the event...won four triple jumps during the outdoor season.

2012-13: Competed at the MW Outdoor Championships in the triple jump and the 4x100 relay, placing 11th in the triple jump at 46-1 1/2 and assisting the relay to sixth place in 42.3...placed third in the long jump at the Cowpoke Open at 20-8 1/4...finished fourth in the triple jump in 46-9 at the Jack Christiansen Invite...opened the outdoor season at the Tom Benich Invite, placing third in the triple jump at 46-2 1/2....redshirted the indoor season.

Before Wyoming: Coached by Annie Hinkhouse...lettered four years in track & field, excelling his senior year as he earned first team all-conference in the 110-meter hurdles, triple jump and 300-meter hurdles ... as a junior, earned first team all-conference in the triple jump, 110-meter hurdles and helped the 4x200 relay squad to the honor as well ... also played four years of football, achieving first team all-conference as a defensive back his junior and senior years and Defensive MVP as a senior.

Personal: Parents are Dan and Karen Carter ... majoring in communications.
