Biography

2006-07... Amanda comes into her senior year looking to continue her success in the 200 and 400m races. She won the 400m race here at the Wyoming Open where she ran a 54.45. She also placed second at the Potts Invite in Boulder, Colo. in the 200m. For her accomplishments in the classroom, Amanda was honored with a Scholar Athlete Award and was an Academic All-Conference member. 2005-06... Medical Redshirt. 2004-05... Amanda was a part of the Cowgirls record breaking 4x400m relay team that ran a time of 3:30.68, which was good for eighth at the NCAA's. She earned All-America and All-Conference honors. 2003-04... As a freshman, Amanda was again on the 4x400m team that placed ninth at the NCAA Championships, the Cowgirls missed the finals by two hundreths of a second. Amanda was awarded with All-Conference honors again. High School... Amanda was a four-year letterman for Kelly Walsh H.S., and what a career she had there. She was an 11-time Wyoming State Champion for the Trojans. Personal... Amanda was born April 23rd, 1985 in Casper, Wyo. She is the daughter of Mary and Randy Hopper, and has one older brother, Chris. Amanda recently got married to Dylan Yentes.
