Biography

UW This Season: Williams sat first on the depth chart at the place-kicker position following spring drills.

2013: Williams was a valuable special teams player for the Pokes. He was nearly perfect on PATs, going 47-of-48. He hit 4-of-7 on field goals and scored 59 total points, second on the team. He also punted one time for 34 yards to pin an opponent inside its 20. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team for his work in the classroom.

2012: Williams stepped up as the starting place-kicker for the Cowboys in 2012. He went 35-for-37 on extra-point attempts, and hit 7-of-12 field-goal attempts. He was the team's leading scorer with 56 points for the season. Williams went a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals versus Toledo, and hit all his attempts versus Texas and Air Force. He earned his first letter. Williams was named to the Academic All-Mountain West team for keeping a 3.57 GPA in engineering.

2011: Williams appeared in two games for the Pokes, going 5-for-5 on PATs versus Weber State and 1-for-1 at Utah State.

2010: Redshirted.

High School: Williams was a 12-time letterwinner in four sports at Nederland High School. As a senior on the football field, he earned All-State, All-Conference and All-Region honors under coach Aaron Jones. He connected on 11-of-12 extra points and 5-of-8 field goals, while averaging 59.4 yards on kickoffs. During his junior campaign he hit 16-of-18 extra points and 3-of-4 field goals and averaged 58.3 yards per kickoff. Williams made 13-of-18 extra points as a sophomore. He made a career long 55-yard field goal and also handled punting duties his final two years of high school. Williams also competed in nordic skiing, soccer and track and field, while earning multiple academic honors in the classroom. He was named to the Colorado Academic All-State First Team four times and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born on Aug. 27, 1992, he is the son of Susan and Steven Williams and has one sister. He was also recruited by Colorado and Cal Poly. He is pursuing a degree in architectural engineering at UW.
