Biography

UW This Season: Grant Lewis was limited during 2016 spring drills. He is still recovering from a severe knee injury he suffered during spring practice in 2015 that caused him to miss the entire 2015 season.  It is hoped he will be at full speed when the Cowboys begin practice in August.

2015: Lewis missed the entire 2015 season due to an injury he suffered during 2015 spring practice.

2014: Redshirted.

High School: Lewis played tight end and wide receiver at White Station High School in Memphis, Tenn. He and his White Station High teammates earned their way all the way to the 2013 Tennessee 6A state semifinals in 2013, posting a 9-5 record along the way. Lewis had 22 receptions his senior season, including scoring five receiving touchdowns and four rushing TDs. He was one of four finalists in the greater Memphis area for the 2013 Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Bull Bramlett Award. The Bull Bramlett Award is presented annually to the high school football player in the Shelby County area who best exemplifies excellence on the field, as well as high character, integrity and godliness off the field. John “Bull” Bramlett was a standout at Memphis State University before becoming an all-pro NFL linebacker. Lewis played for head coach Joe Rocconi at White Station High. Lewis was also recruited by Memphis. Personal: Born on May 9, 1995, he is the son of Brian and Joanne. He has one brother Travis and one sister Sarah. He is majoring in marketing at UW.
