Biography

UW This Season: Kurtis Stirneman will provide the Wyoming offensive line unit with valuable depth entering the 2016 season. He finished No. 2 on the depth chart at left guard at the conclusion of 2016 spring practice, but could potentially play multiple positions for the Cowboys his junior season. 

2015: Stirneman appeared in 10 contests his sophomore season, playing on special teams and as a reserve offensive lineman for the Pokes. 

2014: Stirneman did not appear in any games for UW in his redshirt freshman season. 

2013: Redshirted. 

High School: Stirneman achieved First Team All-Area and First Team All-Conference honors his senior season at Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Ill. As a junior, he earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors. He helped lead his Marian Central Catholic team to an 11-1 record and the quarterfinals of the state playoffs as a junior. As a senior, his Marian Catholic team posted its second consecutive 11-1 record and second consecutive appearance in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He played for head coach Ed Brucker. 

Personal: Born Oct. 28, 1994, he is the youngest of three children of Karol and Tim Stirneman. Stirneman was also recruited by Ball State, Bowling Green and Western Michigan. He is pursuing a degree in finance at UW.
