Summary

Biography

UW This Season: Dalton Fields moved to the offensive line during spring drills. He is second on the depth chart at left guard. 

2016: Dalton Fields appeared in 13 games on the season mostly on special teams. Fields recorded two tackles on the season with both of them being sacks. He recorded those against Colorado State and during a goal line stand in UW’s first meeting with San Diego State.  
 
2015: Fields appeared in all 12 games for the Cowboys on the defensive line and on special teams. He finished the season with four total tackles. He recorded two solo stops and two assisted tackles. Fields recorded tackles against Washington State, Nevada, Colorado State and UNLV. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team for his work in the classroom.  

2014:  Fields appeared in all 12 games for the Cowboys. He finished the season with two tackles. He assisted on tackles against Florida Atlantic and Boise State. 

2013: Redshirted. 

High School: Fields earned First Team All-State Class 4A honors from the Colorado Prep Report and Honorable Mention All-State Class 4A from the Denver Post as a defensive lineman his senior year. Class 4A is the second largest classification in the state of Colorado. He was also named to the Colorado Springs 5A/4A All-Area First Team. Rivals.com ranked Fields as the No. 14 recruit in the state of Colorado in 2012. 247Sports.com ranked him as the No. 19 recruit in Colorado. His junior season, Fields was named First Team All-State Class 4A as an offensive lineman by the Denver Post. He was credited with 70 tackles, three sacks, eight pass breakups and one fumble recovery as a junior, while helping his Pine Creek High team to the 4A state championship game where it finished as the state runner-up. He was named defensive line MVP at the National Underclassmen Combine (NUC) National 5-Star Day in Los Angeles in March 2012. He was elected a football team captain as a senior. He also participated in wrestling and track and field. He placed sixth in the shot put at the state championships his junior season. Fields played for head football coach Todd Miller. 

Personal: Born Dec. 13, 1994, he is the son of Cindy and Damon Fields. Fields was also recruited by Colorado State. He is majoring in kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
