He helped lead a Valencia High team that posted an 11-3 record on way to an appearance in the CIF Southern Section Northern Division state championship game against Hart High School before losing that game 21-28. Valencia captured the Foothill League Championship in 2013, with a perfect 5-0 conference mark. His head coach at Valencia High was Larry Muir.Personal: Born Nov. 5, 1996, Stanton is the youngest of four children of Linda and Darrell Stanton. His older brother, Jordan, is a linebacker on UW's roster. He has another older brother, Darrell Jr., and an older sister, Asia. He was also recruited by San Diego State, Texas State and Utah State.
