Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Borgs had a good 2014 spring campaign and enters fall camp as the co-starter on the depth chart at the middle linebacker spot. 2013 Playing in 12 games, Borgs tallied three special-teams tackles. 2012: Borgs had three tackles in 12 games through the season, contributing on special teams. He earned his second letter and was named to the Academic All-Mountain West team for the second-straight year. 2011: Borgs played in 13 games through the year as a special teams member, but had no tackles. He earned his first letter for the Cowboys for his efforts. Borgs did his best in the classroom, earning 2011 Mountain West Academic All-Conference honors. High School: With no football in his high school, Borgs played for the Dusseldorf Panthers club team. During his senior season, he was the team's leading tackler and helped guide the squad to a 12-3-1 record and an appearance in the club team tournament final. Borgs made 84 tackles during the season, including 51 solo stops, to go with 12 tackles for loss and two sacks. He also broke up three passes, recovered two fumbles and forced a fumble. As a member of Team Germany, Borgs was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2009 Junior World Football Championship played in Canton, Ohio. Borgs was also named the 2009 Team Germany Defensive MVP. Personal: Born March 14, 1990, he is the son of Linda and Hermann Borgs, and has one older sister, Laura, and one younger sister, Theresa. Borgs was also recruited by Virginia, Oklahoma State, Florida Atlantic and UTEP. He is pursuing a degree in business administration at UW.
