Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Stratton was part of a rotation of quarterbacks for the UW offense in the spring, and sits third on the depth chart leading up to fall camp.2013: Stratton served as the primary holder for field-goal attempts and played some offense, taking snaps at quarterback. He had one rush for -12 yards. He was named to the Academic All-Conference team for his work in the classroom.2012: Stratton missed the 2012 season as he recovered from an injury he suffered in winter conditioning that resulted in surgery.2011: Stratton transitioned to a hybrid wide receiver/tailback position for the Cowboys and played in five games. He served as holder for PATs and field goals for those five games. He took snaps in Wyoming's version of the "Wildcat" offense, primarily against Boise State, when he carried the ball 14 times for 54 yards. He also had three receptions for 28 yards.High School: Stratton came to the University of Wyoming from Chatfield High School in the Denver suburb of Littleton, Colo., where he was a four-year starter at quarterback. He earned Honorable Mention All-State Class 5A honors from The Denver Post as both a junior and senior. Stratton concluded his high school career as Chatfield's career leader in total offense with more than 5,000 yards of total offense, including more than 3,600 passing yards and nearly 2,000 rushing yards. He also accounted for 54 touchdowns in his career. Stratton's senior season was cut short in the sixth game of the regular season when he injured his right knee in a game versus Pomona. In the six games he played in `09, he had completed 58-of-89 passes (65.2 percent) for 650 yards and six passing touchdowns, while rushing for 550 yards and seven rushing TDs. An outstanding two-sport athlete in football and track and field, Stratton also holds the Chatfield school records in the 400 meters (48.4 seconds) and 200 meters (21.8 seconds). Stratton was named first team all-state in track as a junior. He anchored Chatfield's 4-by-200-meter relay team to a Class 5A state championship in the spring of 2009, and placed second individually in the 400-meter dash. Stratton qualified for and competed in the state track and field championships as a freshman, sophomore and junior. He played for head football coach Brett McGatlin.Personal: Born Oct. 1, 1991, he is the youngest of two sons of Sara and Mike Stratton. He was also recruited by Air Force, Arizona State, Colorado, Colorado State and Kansas State. He is pursuing a degree in communications at UW.
