Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Knestis emerged as the Cowboys first option at right tackle after spring drills.2014: He appeared in one contest for the Cowboys playing at Colorado State. 2013: Redshirted.High School: Knestis was ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 14 recruit in the state of Colorado as a senior in 2012. Knestis was also named to the Mile High Sports All-Colorado First Team as a senior. He was a First Team All-Jeffco Conference selection as an offensive tackle in 2012. Selected as a team captain his senior season, he didn't allow a single sack. His junior season, he helped lead Lakewood High to a 13-2 record and the 5A state championship game, finishing as the state runner-up. Over his four-year career, his Lakewood High football team posted a record of 37-8. Knestis also earned Academic All-Conference honors as a senior. He played for head coach Mark Robinson.Personal: Born Sept. 15, 1994, he is the youngest of two sons of Lisa and John Knestis. Knestis was also recruited by Air Force, Brigham Young, Colorado State and Cornell. He is pursuing a degree in kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
