Biography

UW This Season: Joseph Parker finished spring football second on the depth chart at Z receiver behind senior Tanner Gentry. Parker will look to build on the experience he gained playing as a true freshman last season.

2015: Parker appeared in all 12 games at wide receiver during his freshman season. He caught seven passes for 68 yards during the season, and averaged 9.7 yards per catch. He recorded one catch in seven different games, versus: North Dakota, Washington State, Appalachian State, Air Force, Boise State, Utah State and UNLV. His 16-yard reception at Utah State was a career-high.

High School:
Parker was named Second Team All-State Class 5A as a senior as presented by the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAANow.com), ColoradoPreps.com and MaxPreps.com. The team was selected by Colorado high school coaches. He was also an Honorable Mention All-State Class 5A selection by The Denver Post. Class 5A is the largest classification in the state of Colorado. He was ranked as the 14th best overall recruit in the state of Colorado by 247Sports.com. Parker led Cherry Creek High in receptions (45), receiving yards (715) and touchdown receptions (5) in 2014. He also had eight rushing attempts for 140 yards, and returned punts. In the 2014 Class 5A State Championship Game, Parker made two critical plays as Cherry Creek captured a 25-24 victory over defending state champion Valor Christian. With his Cherry Creek Bruins trailing 17-10, Parker caught a 53-yard pass that put the Bruins on the six-yard line and led to a game-tying touchdown two plays later. After his Cherry Creek team fell behind by a score of 24-17, Parker again made a key play rushing 29 yards on a reverse to set up the Bruins inside Valor Christian’s 30-yard line. Cherry Creek went on to score a touchdown and successfully converted a two-point conversion to win the state title 25-24. In addition to football, Parker ran track and qualified for the 2014 5A State Championships in the 100-meter dash. Parker played for head coach Dave Logan at Cherry Creek High School. Former Wyoming Cowboy linebacker Guy Tuell also served as an assistant coach for that Cherry Creek High team.

Personal: Born on July 24, 1996, Parker is majoring in business at UW.
