Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Puletasi finished spring drills as the top right defensive end on the final depth chart.2013: Puletasi was a main cog in the UW defense as a junior, posting 47 tackles from his 'buck' end position. He was a pain for opposing offenses, racking up 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. He broke up three passes and blocked a field-goal attempt versus Northern Colorado. His performance against San Jose State was memorable as he had three TFLs in one game, ninth in school history, along with a career-high nine tackles.2012: Puletasi played in 11 games as a sophomore defensive end, starting nine. He got in the opposing backfield with regularity, notching 4.5 tackles for loss for minus-21 yards. He had 20 total tackles, along with two sacks. He forced one fumble and recovered two. His best game came versus Fresno State, in which he had four tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery. Against Idaho, he had two tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.2011: After redshirting his freshman season Puletasi entered fall camp at No. 2 on the depth chart at the right defensive end. He played in 13 games during his redshirt freshman season for the Pokes. For the season, he had eight total tackles, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble and a quarterback hurry. He recorded a career-high four tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble Sept. 10 against Texas State. Against UNLV, Puletasi assisted on two tackles and a tackle for loss in the Cowboys' 41-14 victory over the Rebels. He was a consistent performer for the Pokes and earned a letter.2010: Redshirted.High School: Puletasi achieved a number of honors his senior year playing for Lawton High School in Lawton, Okla. He was named to the Oklahoma Coaches' Association All-State team and played in the Oklahoma All-State game in the summer of 2010. He was selected to the Oklahoma First Team All-State Defensive Team by The Daily Oklahoman in `09, and was named the District 6A-1 Defensive Lineman of the Year. In the talent-rich state of Oklahoma, Puletasi was ranked No. 34 in the Rivals.com rankings of all 2009 prospects coming out of the state. A team captain, Puletasi led Lawton High to an 8-2 record and the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He recorded 100 tackles, 12 sacks and blocked five punts his senior season. His junior season, Puletasi was credited with 45 tackles, three sacks and three interceptions. He achieved Honor Roll status all four years of high school He played for head coach Randy Breeze.Personal: Born April 29, 1992, he is the eldest of four children of Fa'amasani Puletasi. He was also recruited by Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. He is pursuing a degree in criminal justice at UW.
