She was a four-year letterwinner in swimming under head coach Kevin Blum as a breaststroke swimmer. A leader throughout high school she was named her team's captain all four years of high school. Her sophomore, junior and senior seasons she was named Daily New First Team and earned Second Team honors her freshman season. All four seasons she earned the 100 breaststroke Delphic League championship while adding the 200 individual medley championship her junior and senior years. She is the California Interscholastic Federation Division 4 100 breast record holder. She was also named All-America in the 100 breast. In the classroom, she earned Scholastic All-America honors for three seasons and was a Dean's list student all four years. She graduated a member of National Honor Society and earned the Sierra Canyon Founders' Award given for scholar-athlete recognition.Personal: Parks was born on Feb. 1, 1994 in Van Nuys, Calif. She is the daughter of Rick Parks and Debby Shively. She has one younger brother, Jack. She has not declared a major at UW.
