She joins Wyoming as a distance freestyle and individual medley swimmer. During her senior season she was named team captain and was named a top-eight swimmer at the Arizona State Championships. She also helped the 400 medley relay team to a record time. As a junior she earned team MVP honors. Her sophomore season she also was named a top-eight performer at state. Her freshman season she set the school record in the 500 freestyle and earned her first top-eight swimming honor at the state championships.Personal: Royce was born in Tucson, Ariz., on Oct. 21, 1993. She is the daughter of Lorie and Allen. She has three older siblings, Josh, Chris and Krystal. She is majoring in kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
