At the Zone "E" Championships, Haas placed 27th on the 3-meter springboard with a score of 253.75, 16th on the platform (232.70) and 17th on the 1-meter (273.90). Haas earned his spot at the NCAA Zone meet by placing second at the Air Force Diving Invitational on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 313.95. Also at the Air Force Invite, Haas recorded two other second-place finishes on the platform (234.30) and the 3-meter springboard with a score of 309.05. At the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships, Haas' best finish came on the 1-meter taking first in the consolation final and ninth overall with a score of 304.60. Haas' best meet came against Air Force when he placed first on the 1-meter springboard with a score of 286.95 and placed second on the 3-meter with a score of 271.20. He earned his first Cowboy letter award. High School: Haas was a two-time Alaska State Champion in 1-meter springboard diving. He was his high school's team captain his junior and senior year. He was named the Alaska Diver of the Year in 2011. With the Arctic Dive Club he recorded a top-10 finish at the 2011 USA Diving Spring Regionals in Beaverton, Ore., on the 3-meter springboard.Personal: Haas is the son of Donald and Pauline Haas. He was born on March 5, 1993 in Anchorage, Alaska. He has two brothers, Lukas and John, and a sister, Emily.
