He earned his way to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. He swam in the 400-yard individual medley, 1650 freestyle and 200 butterfly. His best finish came in the 1650 free placing 16th with a time of 15:59.11. He also recorded a top-20 finish in the 400 IM, placing 19th with a time of 4:04.15. Ferreri's best meet came at the Houston Cougar Classic recording four top-10 finishes. His best finish in Houston came in the mile swim (1650 freestyle) taking first place with a personal-best time of 15:57.51. In the 200 butterfly, Ferreri placed eighth with a time of 1:57.65. His other two top-10 finishes came in the 500 freestyle (ninth, 4:41.36) and in the 400 IM (10th, 4:09.09). At a home meet against Air Force he swam both distance races for the Cowboys finishing fourth in the 1000 (10:11.68) and 500 freestyles (4:55.81). He also had an excellent meet at the Citrus Classic placing second in the 1650 free (16:26.68) and in the 200 butterfly (1:59.13). He earned his first letter as a Cowboy.High School: Ferreri was a terrific distance freestyle and individual medley swimmer out of Mission Viejo Natadores. He was on the cusp of qualifying for Junior Nationals in the 1000 freestyle, the 200 butterfly and the 400 IM. Ferreri placed second in the 2010 Gold Summer Sectionals 5K open water race. He helped lead his high school to the 2010 California High School State Boys Swimming Championship. Ferreri also helped win consecutive CIF Southern Section Division I Championships in 2009 and 2010. He is an excellent student and he was on his school's Superintendent Honor Roll this past year. He also made the Principal's Honor Roll four times in high school (2008-2010).Personal: Ferreri was born in Downers Grove, Ill., on Feb. 24, 1993. He is the son of John and Sandi Ferreri.
