Biography

High School: Zach Taylor was a unanimous selection as a First Team Class 4A linebacker in 2015 as selected by the Wyoming Coaches Association.  He also earned First Team All-State honors from the Wyoming Coaches Association in 2014.  Taylor was named to the Casper Star-Tribune Super 25 as both a junior and senior.  He was selected to play in the 2016 Wyoming Shrine Bowl in June of 2016.  Taylor helped lead Campbell County High School to the 2014 and 2015 State Championship games, finishing as the State Runner-up both seasons.  His 2015 Camel squad posted an 11-1 record.  Taylor ranked No. 3 in the state in tackles, averaging 7.8 tackles per game.  He was credited with 119 total tackles, including 48 solo tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, one interception, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.  As a fullback, he had 46 rushing attempts for 265 yards and scored six rushing touchdowns.  He averaged 5.8 yards per carry.  Taylor also caught three passes for 59 yards, averaging 19.7 yards per reception.  He accounted for 347 all-purpose yards and was part of an offense that ranked No. 2 in the state in total offense, averaging 436.9 yards per game.  The Campbell County defense ranked No. 4 in the state in total defense, allowing opponents only 315.8 yards per game.  Taylor played for head coach Vic Wilkerson.
