Summary

Biography

UW This Season: Nela Lolohea adds depth to the defensive end position for UW. He will look to get into the rotation of a very deep group. 
2016: Lolohea appeared in all 14 games for the Cowboys at defensive end. He finished the season with 16 tackles. He added two tackles for loss and add one sack. He also recorded two pass breakups on the defensive line. Lolohea also forced one fumble on the season in a contest against New Mexico. He recorded a career-high three tackles against the Air Force option attack. He recorded his first career sack against UC Davis.
Before UW: As a sophomore at El Camino College, the 6’1”, 245-pound defensive end earned Second Team All-Conference honors in the Central League of the Southern California Football Association. Lolohea recorded 56 tackles, including 5.0 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss. He also recovered two fumbles -- one of which was for a touchdown. His freshman season, Lolohea was credited with 13 tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss and forced one fumble. He played for head football coach John Featherstone at El Camino College. Lolohea has already served an LDS Church Mission to Nicaragua, and will come to Wyoming as a very mature player.
High School: Lolohea is originally from Hawthorne, Calif., where he played at Hawthorne High School.
