Biography

UW This Season: Miller is listed as the No. 1 running back for the UW offense heading into the fall. He has a unique set of skills, so he could see time at running back or wide receiver. 

2012: Miller was a fixture on offense for the Pokes, starting eight games and playing in all 12. Opposing defenses had to account for him as he lined up in the backfield and split out as a receiver. He was second on the team with 352 rushing yards and fifth on the team with 309 receiving yards. He had the Cowboys' longest rush of the season, galloping 66 yards versus UNLV. His best rushing effort came against Colorado State (89 yards), while he had a great day receiving against Idaho, with three catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. 

2011: Miller showed his versatility for the Cowboys, playing running back and wide receiver his sophomore season. He started three games at running back and two at wide receiver. He finished fourth on the team with 364 total rushing yards and sixth with 199 receiving yards. Miller had his best game at tailback in the second game of the season against Texas State. He rushed for 101 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown. His best game at receiver came against New Mexico on Nov. 19, catching six passes for 77 yards including a 26-yard touchdown reception. Miller spent his first two years at Wyoming as a wide receiver, but played running back for much of 2011. 

2010: Miller played in seven games as a wide receiver during his redshirt freshman season, including playing in each of the last three games of the season. He didn't have any receptions, but did rush five times for 22 yards against Colorado State in the season finale, as the coaches utilized him in the spread formation on running plays. 

2009: Redshirted. 

High School: Miller put together some impressive statistics during his high school career at Mountain Vista. As a senior, he rushed for 1,300 yards, had 600 receiving yards and scored 25 touchdowns. He also returned a pair of kickoffs for touchdowns. As a junior, he rushed for 600 yards and four touchdowns and had 200 receiving yards. As a sophomore, he rushed for 250 yards and scored two TDs. He was an honorable mention All-State and All-League selection as a senior, and was named honorable mention All-League as a junior. He was a team captain his senior year. In addition to football, he earned letter awards in basketball as a junior and track as a senior. He was also recruited by Colorado and Colorado State. 

Personal: Born on Aug. 28, 1990, in Denver, Colo., he is the son of Diane and Rick Miller and has a younger sister, Kristin. He is pursuing a degree in communications at UW.
