Biography

UW This Season: Diamanti hopes to impress heading into fall camp this season, as he finished as the No. 3 nose tackle on the depth chart after spring ball ended.

2013: Redshirted.

High School: Diamanti was a 2012 First Team All-Colorado squad for all classifications his senior season at Grand Junction High. He was also named to the Post's Class 5A First Team All-State squad. Class 5A is the largest classification in Colorado. Diamanti was ranked as the No. 24 recruit in the state of Colorado in 2012 by 247Sports.com. He was named his conference's Player of the Year his senior season, while being credited with 88 tackles, five sacks, four forced fumbles and three recovered fumbles. Grand Junction posted a 6-4 record and lost in the first round of the state playoffs his senior season. His junior season, Grand Junction compiled an 11-1 record before falling in the quarterfinals of the state playoffs. He made 50 tackles, had four sacks, forced three fumbles and recovered one fumble as a junior, earning him First Team All-Conference honors. He also started as a sophomore, and was credited with 42 tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles, while his team posted a 10-2 record and advanced to the quarterfinals of state. He played for head football coach Robbie Owens.

Personal: Born Oct. 18, 1994, he is one of three children of Summer and Deno Diamanti. Diamanti was also recruited by Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico State and UTEP. He is pursuing a degree in kinesiology and health promotion at UW.
