Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Fort finished a successful spring campaign as the No. 2 free safety on the depth chart and hopes to carry that momentum into fall camp.2013: Fort was a bright spot in the secondary for the UW defense in 2013. In 11 games he had eight tackles and pass breakup. His best game came against Northern Colorado, when he had four stops, a PBU and returned an interception 50 yards for a score. He was one of seven Cowboys to nab an interception in 2013.2012: Redshirted.High School: Fort came to Wyoming from the United States Military Academy Prepatory School, which he attended for the 2011-12 academic year anticipating attending the United States Military Academy at West Point. Fort instead decided to accept a football scholarship offer from Wyoming. Fort played his high school football at Etiwanda High School in Etiwanda, Calif. He earned First Team All-Inland Valley honors and First Team Baseline League honors his senior season, and was voted a team captain as a senior. Fort played in the San Bernardino County versus Riverside County All-Star game at the end of his senior season of 2010. As a senior, Fort was credited with 60 tackles, intercepted two passes and returned them for 50 yards, recovered two fumbles and broke up 10 passes. He returned one fumble for a 97-yard touchdown. His junior season, he was selected Second Team All-Conference while making 40 tackles, intercepting four passes, recovering one fumble and breaking up 12 passes. He scored one TD his junior season from his defensive back position. Fort also returned punts in high school. He played for head coach Stephen Bryce. Fort participated in the Nike Sparq Combine following his senior season of high school. He was ranked as the second-best cornerback and the seventh-best prospect at the combine -- out of nearly 1,300 participants. An outstanding student, he twice earned Scholar-Athlete honors during his high school career and was on the Honor Roll three years of high school. Fort served as a Student Council representative as a freshman and senior.Personal: Born Jan. 3, 1994, he is the son of Cathy and Willie Fort. He has one younger sister, Mckynzie, and one younger brother, Dylan. He was also recruited by Air Force, Arizona, Army, Colorado State, Oregon State, San Jose State and UNLV. He is pursuing a degree in the college of business at UW.
