Hometown Biography Summary Biography Junior (2015-16): Stevens had a successful junior season wearing the brown and gold. At the 2016 MW Championships, she finished 10th in the 100 back with a time of 54.69. She also placed 15th (2:00.52) overall in the 200 back at the championships. Stevens finished third (58.49) in the 100 back and fourth (2:07.01) in the 200 against New Mexico State. The following day, she won the 200 back (2:03.67) against New Mexico. In the double-dual with NAU and LSU, Stevens brought home another victory, as she won the 50 back with a time of 29.08, while she followed with a win in the 100 back (56.99). Sophomore (2014-15): Stevens brought home a victory against New Mexico State as she won the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.90. Against Border War rival Colorado State, Stevens finished fourth in the 100 backstroke with a time of 69.40. At the MW Championships, Stevens finished 11th in the 100 backstroke with a final time of 55.52 and 16th in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:05.02. Freshman (2013-14): Stevens competed in four events during her freshman season. She swam a season-best time of 58.71 in the 100 backstroke against UIC. She also competed in the 50 freestyle against the Flames finishing sixth with a time of 25.31. High School: Stevens joins the Cowgirls from Sherwood High School in Sherwood, Ore. She was a four year letterwinner in swimming under head coach Robert VanAndel. A team captain her senior year, Stevens became her high school's record holder in the 100 backstroke and placed third at state in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. She finished the season in the top-five in the state of Oregon competing in the 100 butterfly. During her junior year, not only was she a Youth National Qualifier but she placed fourth at state in the 100 backstroke and fifth in the 100 butterfly. In the classroom, Stevens graduated with honors, was a member of the National Honor Society, National Arts Honor Society and the National Society of High School Honors. She also participated in M.S. Society Awareness, NAMI Awarness and helped prepare aid stations for multiple 5k-marathons. Personal: She was born June 8, 1995 in Portland, Ore., and is the daughter of Rick and Lori Stevens. She has a younger brother, Ethan and is undeclared on a major. She was also recruited by Western Colorado, Northern Colorado, Cal State Eastbay, Adams State and Fresno State.
