Sophomore (2016-17): Ryan's successful sophomore season concluded with top-eight finishes in three different events at the 2017 Mountain West Championships...named to the All-Conference team in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke, each for the second-consecutive season...was also a member of all three All-Conference relay teams for the Cowgirls (200 freestyle, 200 medley and 400 medley)...logged a standout performance in the dual against UNLV, placing first in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 50 backstroke...went undefeated against Air Force, claiming the top spot in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 50 backstroke. Freshman (2015-16): She was named All-MW in the 50 and 100 free and the 100 back, after she took second in the 100 back (53.24), sixth in the 50 free (22.80) and eighth in the 100 free (50.02) at her first MW Championships…in her first career collegiate meet against NAU and LSU, she claimed her first victory in the 50 free (25.25), in addition to a fifth place finish in the 100 free with a time of 58.90…against CSU, she took first in the 100 free (53.11) and second in the 100 back (57.69). She had two top-five finishes at the Purdue Invite, with times of 55.35 and 50.32 in the 100 back and 100 free, respectively. Ryan was a major contributor in helping UW claimed it’s first-ever win over a Pac-12 opponent as she finished second in the 100 free (51.81) and third in the 100 back (56.99) against Arizona State. High School: She received the 2014 junior Women of the Year award for her showing at the Short Course Meter National Age Group Open winning the 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 50 Freestyle…broke many different records including 15 high school records, for her effort of breaking multiple records she was awarded the "Most Records Broken Award" five consecutive years…also set multiple regional and district records pushing 50 plus…swam for Oamaru Swim Club and was part of the Podium Program for the next three years, as she has been labeled on the pathway to represent New Zealand in the Olympics…received top marks in school at St. Kevin's College and was awarded the Class Act award by the Prime Minister of New Zealand.
