Biography

Redshirt Junior (2019-20): A College Coaches Swimming and Diving Association (CSCAA) All-American selection…qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 3-meter after a seventh place finish (614.20) at the NCAA Zone E Championship…earned All-Mountain West honors in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events…placed seventh in the 1-meter event with a score of 296.65…in the platform, she was second with a career-best score of 302.80 and was fourth in the three-meter with a score of 326.45…won five dual meets in the 1-meter and two in the 3-meter…took home MW Diver of the Week honors after helping the Cowgirls to a victory over Northern Colorado…is the current school record holder in the 1-meter (355.45), second in the platform (302.80) and third in the three-meter (352.40).  

Junior (2018-19): Redshirted in 2018.

Sophomore (2017-18): Put together a great performance at the MW championships earning a top three finish in each diving event…took second place in both the 1 and 3-meter springboard and finished second in the platform diving event at the MW Championships…competed in all three diving events at the NCAA Championships…took ninth place in the platform diving event at the NCAA Championships winning the consolation final and earning All-American honors…first Cowgirl to earn all American-Honors since 2016.
 
Freshman (2016-17): Contreras put her name in the UW record book during her freshman campaign, culminating in a trip to the NCAA Championships...she became just the second Cowgirl to qualify for all three diving events...finished 19th on the one-meter at the NCAA Championships, 22nd on the three-meter and 37th on the platform...placed fourth in the three-meter, fifth in the one-meter and seventh on the platform at the NCAA Zone E Championships...set a new school record in the one-meter (355.45) and at the time the platform (285.20)...an All-Conference honoree in all three diving events...twice named the Mountain West Diver of the Week. 

High School: Graduated from Lázaro Cárdenasin Tijuana, Mexico…competed at the Diving Junior Championship in 2013 and placed 11th…earned a third-place finish at the national Olympics in Mexico in 2014...in 2015, she competed at the Diving Junior Pan Ams in Cuba, placing sixth. 

Personal: Daughter of Franciso and Teresa Contreras…has one sister, Steffany Contreras...majoring in chemical engineering and Spanish.
