2016-17: Redshirted the indoor campaign…competed in the hurdles events in five outdoor meets…placed third in the 400-meter hurdles in a dual meet at Colorado State.
 
Before Wyoming: Competed in numerous events at Palisade (Colo.) High School...qualified for the 2016 Colorado 4A State Championships in four events: 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, long jump, and 4x200-meter relay...crowned the 2016 Colorado 4A state champion in the 110-meter hurdles...was ranked in the nation's top 20 for the indoor 60-meter hurdles...has recorded personal bests of 8.10 in the 60-meter hurdles, 14.40 in the 110-meter hurdles, 21-6 in the long jump, 42-6.75 in the shot put and 22.64 in the 200-meter dash...collected seven varsity letters at Palisade, including three in football and four in track & field...four-time Academic All-State honoree in both football and track & field.
 
Personal: Son of Robert Shuman, who was a tennis player in college...has two sisters, Kate and Alyson...also recruited by Air Force, Brown, Colorado, Colorado State, the Naval Academy, and Pacific, among others...intends to major in mechanical engineering at UW.
