Honors: Indoor Mountain West Champion – Weight Throw (2020); Outdoor Mountain West Champion – Hammer Throw (2019); Indoor All-Mountain West – Weight Throw (2020, 2019); Outdoor All-Mountain West – Hammer Throw (2018, 2019); Academic All-Mountain West (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017)

2020-21 
Indoor Track & Field: Posted three top five finishes in the weight throw including two runner-up finishes… Placed second in a competitive field at the Air Force Invitational with a throw of 64-0.5… Also took second at the Power Meet… Had a season best throw of 65-6.75 at the Championships at the Peak where he finished fifth. 
Outdoor Track and Field: Was the Cowboys best hammer thrower during the season as he moved to sixth all-time in the UW Record books in the event with a throw of 214-2 at the West Coast Relays… Won the Hammer throw four times during the season… Went 203-2 at the Virginia Challenge to finish sixth amongst a very competitive field… Finished 17that the NCAA West Preliminaries with a mark of 209-7. 


2019-20
Indoor Track & Field: Was a weight throw specialist during the season, posting a career-best throw of 66-6.75 at the Mountain West Championships, where he won the event title… That throw is No. 10 all-time at Wyoming… Cleared 60 feet at every meet during the season, and was the only MW athlete to throw at least 60 feet… Had three other event wins during the season at the CSM Alumni Meet, the Air Force Invite and the Colorado Invite... Earned academic all-MW honors.
Outdoor Track & Field: Cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
 
2018-19
Indoor Track & Field: Had a personal-best shot put throw of 47-0.75 at the Powder River Dual (1/26) to place fifth… Competed mostly in the weight throw, recording a personal best throw of 63-8.75 at the Mountain West Championships, where he placed second behind teammate Hap Frketich
Outdoor Track & Field: Competed exclusively in the hammer throw… Was the MW champion in the hammer throw, with a personal best throw of 205-11 in the finals… That throw is No. 8 on the all-time list at Wyoming… Competed at the NCAA West Preliminary in the hammer throw, finishing in 28th place with a throw of 199-7… Earned academic all-MW honors.

2017-18
Indoor Track & Field: Redshirted during the indoor season.
Outdoor Track & Field: Earned all-Mountain West honors in the hammer throw by placing second with a mark of 182-8… Finished in the top three in the hammer throw in five meets… Had a career-best hammer throw of 194-0 at the 7220 Invite to place second… Competed in the shot put once, and had a career-best mark of 38-11.75 to finish fifth… In the classroom, earned academic all-MW honors.

2016-17
Indoor Track & Field: Won the weight throw at the first meet of his career, UW’s Power Meet, with a toss of 61-8.25…followed the win with another victory in the event at the Potts Invitational…earned runner-up finishes in the weight throw at his next two meets, the Powder River Dual and Washington State Cougar Indoor Invite…took 11th in the event at the MW indoor championships…earned Academic All-Mountain West honors for his work in the classroom.
Outdoor Track & Field: Redshirted during the outdoor campaign.
 
High School: Crowned the 2016 Washington 4A state champion in the hammer throw....ranked No. 6 in the nation for the hammer throw with a personal best of 215-10...placed seventh in the hammer throw at the USA Junior National Championships...placed third in the discus throw and fourth in the shot put at the 2016 4A Washington State Championships, recording PRs of 167-7 and 58-2.25, respectively...led the state of Washington in the 25-lb. weight throw indoors with a toss of 67-2, which was good for No. 14 in the nation...earned four letters in track & field at Joel E. Ferris HS as well as being named team MVP three times and team captain in 2016.
 
Personal: Has three brothers, Ethan, Grayson and Damon, who was a thrower on the Wyoming track & field team...his father and high school coach, former hammer throw All-American Kyle Unland, competed alongside former Wyoming throws coach Paul Barrett at Washington State University...intends to major in physiology at UW.
