Before Wyoming: As a senior was state champion in the 4x800-meter relay...placed runner-up in the pole vault and 800 meters...was third in the 1,600 meters...also helped his school win conference, regional and state team titles...owned personal bests of 13-6 in the pole vault, 5-10 in the high jump, 2:01 in the 800 meters, 4:44 in the 1,600 meters and 53.5 in the 400 meters...in the classroom was a member of National Honor Society after being on the honor roll all four years...also was class president and a member of the student council for four years. Personal: Son of Fred and Mary Fichtner...Fred swam for UW...has two brothers, Rory and Rowdy, and one sister, Roslan...born Nov. 23, 1996...has not declared a major at UW.
