Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Taylor Davis enters his second season as a Cowboy wide receiver. He participated in the 2012 spring drills and provides depth for the UW receiving squad. 2011: Davis completed his first season with the Cowboys. He was a member of the wide receiving corps and participated as a practice team member. 2010: Davis attended Northwest Missouri State where he redshirted one season as a member of the baseball team. High School: Davis was a four-sport athlete at Plattsburg High School in Plattsburg, Mo., while playing football under coach Andy McNeely. Davis started all four years in football and guided the team to winning seasons each of his last three years, including an appearance in the second round of the playoffs in his final season. As a senior starting quarterback and linebacker, he rushed for 14 touchdowns and passed for 12 while accumulating 1,300 rushing yards and 1,600 passing yards. His efforts earned him First Team All-Conference and All-District honors. He also led the team in solo tackles. On the baseball field, he was an All-State shortstop twice and finished with a career batting average of .513. He also earned All-Conference honors twice on the basketball team, while scoring more than 1,000 career points. Davis was a four-time letterwinner in football, basketball and baseball. In the classroom, he was valedictorian of his class and earned multiple Academic All-Conference accolades. He was also involved in student council, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society. Personal: Davis was born Aug. 14, 1990. He is the only child of Lisa and Rod Davis. He was also recruited by Missouri. He is majoring in kinesiology and health promotion.
