Career Stats Career Statistics Biography Summary Biography UW This Season: Kenny Browder heads into fall camp at the backup spot for the free safety position and likely will continue to contribute on special teams. 2011: Browder made a position change during the year, moving from safety to cornerback. He played in 10 games, tallying 16 total tackles. He had three tackles in each game versus Utah State, UNLV, TCU and Temple. Browder became a valuable special teams contributor, and also saw time at defensive back as well. He is a three-time letterwinner. 2010: Browder appeared in 11 games during his sophomore season as a reserve cornerback and special teams player. He finished with 12 tackles and one pass breakup. His top performance of the season was five tackles at TCU, while he also notched two tackles and a pass breakup against Colorado State. 2009: Browder played in all 13 games as a freshman. He was credited with 16 tackles, four pass breakups and a fumble recovery in his first season of college football. In his first college game versus Weber State he recorded five stops. He had three tackles and one pass breakup in a home win over New Mexico. The biggest play Browder made during his freshman season was the recovery of an onside kick at San Diego State. Wyoming had come back to tie the Aztecs at 27-27 with 2:07 remaining in the game, after overcoming a 21-point deficit late in the third quarter. It appeared likely the game would go to overtime, when UW squibbed a kickoff that hit an SDSU player and was recovered by Browder at the San Diego State 44-yard line. Browder's recovery allowed the Pokes to go on a seven-play drive that resulted in a 43-yard, game-winning field goal and kept Wyoming's bowl hopes alive. UW then earned a bid to the New Mexico Bowl where the Pokes defeated Fresno State. He was awarded his first varsity letter. High School: Browder was a First Team All-District 16-5A selection his senior season at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas. He recorded 49 solo tackles and 19 assists for a total of 68 tackles his senior season. He also had 12.0 tackles for losses, one sack, 11 pass breakups, two interceptions and one forced fumble. As a team captain, Browder helped lead Stony Point to a 13-2 record and the semifinals of the 5A State Playoffs. His junior season, Browder helped his high school team post a 9-3 record. In his final two seasons of high school, Browder's team posted a combined 22-5 (.815) record. He also was an outstanding track and field athlete at Stony Point, earning four letters.
