Biography

2015-16: Recorded four top-five individual event finishes during the indoor season…tossed a season-best 55-1 in the weight throw at the Rocky Mountain Classic…took 12th in the weight throw at the MW indoor championships with a throw of 53-9.75…outdoors, recorded 10 top-10 finishes in the discus and hammer throws…threw a season-long 169-9 in the hammer throw at the CU Invite, finishing fifth…tossed a season-best 150-1 in the discus at the Fum McGraw Invitational, finishing fourth…finished 11th in the hammer throw (166-2) and 16th in the discus (143-2) at the MW outdoor championships.

Before Wyoming: As a senior won the Indiana state meet in the discus and placed ninth in the shot put...as a junior was fourth in the discus...as a sophomore was ninth in the discus...won the conference meet in the shot and discus all four years...held school records in the discus and shot put...owned personal bests of 148-0 in the discus, 42-1 3/4 in the shot put and 147-0 in the hammer...coached by her mom, Kelly York, while her dad, Chris York, is an assistant coach for sprints and hurdles...her personal hammer coach, Deren Wilder, was a former college teammate of Chris.

Personal: Daughter of Chris and Kelly York...Kelly competed in track and field at Ball State, while Chris did at St. Joseph's College...grandfather Armand Johnson played football and baseball at Illinois...has two brothers, Mike and Ryan...born Feb. 22, 1997...majoring in psychology at UW.
