University of Wyoming Athletics

Before UW: Fayyazi wrestled for two years at Santa Ana College before arriving at Wyoming. At SAC, he was a state and regional placer during his freshman and sophomore campaigns. Additionally, Fayyazi was twice named to the honor roll with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

High School: Fayyazi was a two-time letter winner at Irvine high school. During his senior season, he was named the Orange County League wrestler of the year, was the Las Vegas Holiday Classic champion, a CIF Masters placer and state qualifier. He was a CIF placer and CIF Masters qualifier his junior season. Additionally, Fayyazi was a All-County League champion as a junior. He finished his high school career within the all-time top-ten in wins and winning percentage. 

Personal: Fayyazi was born in Newport Beach, Calif., and is the son of Sara Moghaddam and Tony Fayyazi. He has one older brother, Nima and plans to study nursing while at UW.
