Hometown Biography Summary Biography Career record at Wyoming 2015-16: 29-5 (6 falls) 2016-17: 32-8 (12 falls) Totals: 61-13 (18 falls) 2016-17: Meredith began his junior campaign by competing in the NWCA All-Star Classic against Anthony Ashnualt of Rutgers. He was just the seventh participant in Wyoming history. Meredith won the UNC Open going a perfect 5-0. All five wins came via bonus points. He opened the dual season with a pin over #13 Gabe Moreno of Iowa State before taking second-place at the Cliff Keen Invite. He also took second-place at Reno Tournament of Champions where he had four bonus point victories. Meredith earned a 6-5 decision over #15 Logan Everett of Army West Point during the American Duals. He led UW to a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championships where he claimed runner-up honors as he eased his way to the finals against #1 Dean Heil of Oklahoma State. At the NCAA Championships, he secured the second All-American status of his career with a fourth-place finish at 141 pounds. Meredith recorded three upsets at Nationals. He defeated #2 Kevin Jack of North Carolina State in the quarterfinals and #8 Jaydin Eierman of Mizzou in the consolation semifinals. It marked the 16th top-four finish for a Cowboy wrestler all-time at NCAAs. He also became just the seventh Poke to earn All-American honors at least twice in a career, and first to earn the distinction in two-consecutive years since Alfonso Hernandez in 2012-13. He finished the year with a 32-8 record with 12 pins, eight majors and four tech falls. Additionally, Meredith was one of 135 student-athletes in NCAA Division I Wrestling to be named to the NWCA All-Academic team. He was the 18th Cowboy in school history to garner the award. 2015-16: Meredith finished the season with a 29-5 record becoming the 32nd All-American selection in Cowboy history and the ninth under head coach Mark Branch. He also became the eighth All-American from the state of Wyoming and the third equality state native to earn a spot in the finals. Meredith became the first NCAA finalist for UW since Reese Andy in 1996, as he eventually fell to the top-seeded Dean Heil of Oklahoma State by decision, 3-2. He opened the championships with a major decision over Robbie Mathers of Arizona State and then upset former teammate and third-ranked Kevin Jack of North Carolina State.
