Hometown Biography Summary Biography Junior (2016-17): Recorded a career-best time of 1:46.21 in the 200 butterfly at the 2017 WAC Championships to place third, one of his best races of the season... Also finished top-eight in the 100 butterfly, placing seventh with a mark of 48.32... Claimed his only race victory of the season against Air Force in the 200 butterfly with a time of 1:53.96... Had two successful races in the last dual of the season against UNLV, placing third in the 100 and 200 butterfly. Sophomore (2015-16): Porter once again had a successful season wearing the brown and gold. He was named all-conference in the 100 and 200 fly, as he placed sixth (48.13) in the 100 fly at the WAC Championships. He also finished sixth in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.04. Additionally, Porter took 16th overall (4:34.75) in the 500 free at the championships. Porter brought home two fifth-place finishes in the dual against LSU. He recorded times of 1:57.42 in the 200 free and a 25.80 in the 50 fly. He then claimed eighth in the 200 fly at the Purdue Invite with a mark of 1:51.58, and third place in the 100 fly (51.53) to help UW upset No. 14 Utah. Freshman (2014-15): Porter competed in a number of events for the Cowboys during his freshman season. He came away with a victory at the Colorado Mesa Invite by winning the 200 butterfly with a mark of 1:51.95. He finished fifth in the 200 butterfly in the dual with Denver, and also finished fourth in the 1-meter diving event with a tally of 258.83. He finished fourth in the 100 butterfly, third in the 200 butterfly with a season-best time of 1:56.81 against Air Force and was also a member of the fourth place 400 freestyle relay team. Against UC Santa Barbara, Porter claimed fifth in the 100 butterfly with a mark of 51.50 and seventh in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.53. Porter was named to the All-WAC Academic Team. High School: Graduate of McMinnville High School. Holds two school records at McMinnville High School. Placed fifth in the state meet in his junior and senior season.
