Honors: Mountain West Scholar-Athlete (2020)
2021-22
Indoor Track & Field: Competed in numerous events during the season including the heptathlon… Finished eighth in the heptathlon at the Mountain West Championships with a score of 4,798 points…Moved into ninth all-time in program history in the event with his performance at the Mountain West Championships… Finished second in the pole vault at the Prairie Wolf Invite clearing a height of 13-7.75… Finished fifth in the pole vault at the Mark Colligan Memorial. 

Outdoor Track & Field: Competed in multiple events for the Cowboys during the season… Earned a tenth-place finish in the pole vault at the Mountain West Championships after clearing 14-1.25… Posted a season best mark of 126-0 in the Javelin at the CU invitational finishing in 12^th… Finished 19^th in the 110M hurdles at the Fresno State Invitational with a season best time of 15.82… Also competed in the long jump during the season posting a season best mark of 19-11.75.


2020-21
Indoor Track & Field: Started his indoor season off strong recording a career best in the Heptathlon at the Air Force Invitational with a total score of 4,707 points… Also set a personal best of 21-1.25 in the long jump at the AF Invitational… Competed in the heptathlon at the Championships at the peak and set personal best of 38 in the shot put and personal best of 14-1.25 in the pole vault. 

Outdoor Track and Field: Highlighted his season with a ninth place finish in the decathlon at the MW Championships scoring a total of 6389 points…  Cleared a career best height of 14.55 in the pole vault at West Coast Relays… Finished 16^th in 110M hurdles at the Spank Blasing invite with a career best time of 15.79. 


2019-20
Indoor Track & Field: Recorded the eighth-best heptathlon score in his collegiate debut, scoring 4,604 points at the Air Force Invite… Had a career-best 60m dash of 7.46, a career-best 60m hurdles time of 8.77, a career-best pole vault of 13-11.25 and a career-best long jump of 21-0.75 at the Air Force Invite… Had a career-best 1,000m time of 2:53.26, high jump of 5-8.75 and shot put of 36-7.75 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships… Overall, placed fourth at the Mountain West Championships in the heptathlon with a score of 4,479... Was a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.
Outdoor Track & Field: Cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in track & field, football and basketball at Enumclaw (WA) High School… In track & field, had best marks of 14-0 in pole vault, 51.51 in the 400m and 15.06 in the 110m hurdles… Competed in multiple other events as a decathlete during his high school career… Was a WIAA State qualifier in 2018 and 2019, and helped guide his team to a NPSL League Championship in 2019… In football, was named a First-Team All-League defensive back in 2017, and his team won league championships in football in 2017 and 2018… In basketball, his team qualified for state in 2017 and 2018, and he earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2018… Was earned the Enumclaw Scholar-Athlete Award in 2016 and 2019, the AP Scholar Award with Distinction in 2018, the EHS Junior Achievement Award in 2018 and was the Academic State Champion in track & field in 2017… Was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Son of Phil and Necia Engebretsen… Has two siblings, Samantha and Kale… His mother, Necia, ran track & field and cross country at Wyoming, while his father, Phil, played basketball and competed in track & field for Occidental College.
