Biography

2016-17 (Redshirt Sophomore): Michelle Romano took part in two tournaments during the 2016-17 season • At the Battle at the Rock, the redshirt sophomore shot a 243 (+27) to tie for 62nd while playing as an individual • When the Cowgirls hosted the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic in Maricopa, Ariz., Romano tied for 80th with a 239 (+23) three-round score.

2015-16 (Sophomore): Redshirted.

Before UW: Romano joined the Cowgirls after completing her freshmen season at Colorado Colorado-Springs. She played in three of the nine tournaments during her first season for the Mountain Lions. Romano played a total of six rounds and finished with a scoring average of 77.8. Romano shot a season best round of 71 (-1) at the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate. She also fired her best two-round tally of 144 (E) at the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate. Her best season finish was at the RMAC #1 when she tied for 14th. Romano finished the season recording her second top-25 finish at the RMAC #2, where she tied for 25th. High School: Romano had a successful high school career and was a four-year letterwinner at the Rock Canyon High School in Lone Tree, Colo., and was the team captain her junior and senior years. As captain she helped lead the Jaguars to the 2014 5A Girls Golf State Championship. At the 2014 state championship she shot the best round of any golfer at the tournament in the third round. Romano finished seventh at the 5A Girls Golf State Championship her junior year and was in the top-40 her sophomore and freshman years. 

Personal: She is the daughter of Jim and Andrea and has an older sister, Jamie and an older brother, Andrew.
