2016-17 (Senior): Taylor Dorans competed in three separate tournaments for the Cowgirls during her senior season • In the nine rounds she took part in, Dorans posted 79.3 scoring average • She began the year with a 235 (+19) at the CSU Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic before recording a 245 (+29) at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate • At the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, Dorans posted her best three-round score of the year with a 234 (+18) to close out her career wearing the Brown and Gold.
2015-16 (Junior): Dorans played 18 rounds for UW during her junior campaign • She had a scoring average of 79.9 for the Cowgirls • Began her season in the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate and recorded a 244 (+28) • Had her best finish the following week, as she scored a 224 (+8) and tied for 37th at the Denver Ron Moore Intercollegiate • She had a three-round total 248 (+24) at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic and then closed out the season with a 235 (+19) to tie for 31st at the Bobcat Spring Invite • Once again named to the Academic All-MW team.
2014-15 (Sophomore): Dorans had a successful sophomore season for UW, as she played in all 11 tournaments • Recorded a career-low score of 71 (-1) in the first round of the Mountain View Collegiate • Recorded the first three top-25 finishes of her career while her best finish came when she tied for 15th at the Grand Canyon Invitational • Lowest tournament score was at the Grand Canyon Invitational with a total tally of 227 (+11) • Played 31 rounds and had a stroke average of 78.1, which was the third lowest on the team • Wrapped up the year at the Mountain West Championships with a 243 (+27), where she tied for 43rd • Named to the spring 2015 Academic All-MW team.
2013-14 (Freshman): Dorans stepped right into the Cowgirls lineup in her first season with the program • Played in 27 rounds averaging 80.7 strokes per round • Best finish came at the Mountain View Collegiate finishing tied for 42nd with a score of 227 (+11); During the event she tied a career-best score of 74 (+2) • Recorded 74 (+2) in the final round of the Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate • In her collegiate debut at the CSU Ptarmigan Rams Fall Classic she recorded a 234 (+18) making it her second-best score of the season.
High School: A native of Erie, Colo., Taylor Dorans joined the Cowgirls from Broomfield High School after lettering four years in golf under coach John Ferraro • During Dorans' freshmen and sophomore seasons she finished sixth in the Colorado High School Athletic Association 4A Championship • Finished the CHSAA 4A Championship in fourth place as a junior • A three-time All-State honoree, earning the honor from her freshmen to junior years • Also a two-time Northern League MVP • Named the 2012 Boulder Daily Camera Player of the Year • A member of the Colorado Junior America's Cup team • During the summer of 2012, she competed in the United States Golf Association Junior Girls championship and the Junior World Championship • A four-year honor member and a member of National Honor Society • Earned a Broomfield Super Kid Award with a 4.3 grade point average.
Personal: Dorans was born Nov. 21 in Dolton, Illinois and is the daughter of Rich and Patti Dorans • Has two older sisters, Molly who played golf at Montana State University in Bozeman, Mont., and Danielle, who played golf at the University of Nebraska at Kearney • Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
