About the Kiawah Island Classic…
Tabbed as the largest collegiate golf tournament in the country, the 2019 edition of the Kiawah Island Spring Classic has expanded from 43 teams to 48 in this year's field and will be played for the fifth time in its history at Osprey Point at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Kiawah Island, S.C. Two courses are used for the three-day, 54-hole tournament including Oak Point. After 36 holes of play, the Top 24 teams will play for the championship at Osprey Point during the final round, while teams 25-48 will play for a flight championship at Oak Point. Last year, host College of Charleston won the team title with a three-round score of 872 (+8) followed by runner-up Murray State (+15). Jacksonville State's Valentina Giraldo, Murray State's Lucila Puente Rodriguez and UNCW's Lyberty Anderson tied for individual medalist honors (-5).

Last Time Out
The Wyoming women's golf team finished up play in 10th overall at the Battle at the Rock earlier this month at the Oak Quarry Golf Club.

Wyoming saved its best round of the week for last, carding a 5-over 293 that ties the team's season low score for a round and the fifth-lowest team score in school history. The Cowgirls finished at 36-over with a 900. Grand Canyon and Cal Poly tied atop the team leaderboard at 17-over for the tournament.

The Pokes were led by senior Megan Knadler, who finished 10th at 3-over for her best finish of the season so far. Following scores of 71 and 73 for her first two rounds, Knadler wrapped up her tournament with a final-round 75. It marked the second top-10 finish for a Cowgirl this season.
